WASHINGTON D.C., Jan. 27, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sizzle Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: SIZZLU, the “Company” or “Sizzle”) announced today that, commencing February 1, 2022, holders of the 15,500,000 units sold in the Company’s initial public offering may elect to separately trade the Company’s common stock and warrants included in the units. Common stock and warrants that are separated will trade on the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC under the symbols “SZZL” and “SZZLW,” respectively. No fractional warrants will be issued upon separation of the units and only whole warrants will trade. Those units not separated will continue to trade on the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC under the symbol “SZZLU.” Holders of units will need to have their brokers contact Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company, the Company's transfer agent, in order to separate the units into common stock and warrants.
The Company is a blank check company formed for the purpose of entering into a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, stock purchase, recapitalization, reorganization or other similar business combination with one or more businesses or entities. Sizzle’s prospective target business will not be limited to a particular industry or geographic region, although the Company intends to initially focus on target businesses in the restaurant, hospitality, food and beverage, retail, consumer, food and food related technology and real estate industries.
The units were initially offered by the Company in an underwritten offering. Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. acted as the sole book running manager for the offering.
